These Country Couples Announced Engagements In 2025

2025 was an unforgettable, romantic year for several country artists and their significant others. Wedding bells are on the horizon for Lainey Wilson, Zac Brown, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker and more. Scroll below to see who got engaged this year.

Matt Stell kicked off 2025 by announcing he and his wife, Kasey Harvey, were engaged and married. The country artist — known for “Prayed For You,” “Breaking’ in Boots” and more — proposed to Harvey on the beach on Friday, January 3. they got married the following day. He posted on Instagram at the time: “We got engaged on Friday! And Married on Saturday!!!! Love you 4eva Kasey STELL.”

Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges announced their engagement on February 12. They’d been dating since 2021. Wilson later shared that the couple got engaged at late legend George Jones’ estate in Franklin, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. “It could not have been more perfect.”

Walker Montgomery and Krista Slaubaugh of Tigirlily Gold announced their engagement in May after nearly two years of dating. The bride-to-be told PEOPLE at the time that she “was overwhelmed in the best way,” and she “couldn’t have imagined (the proposal) more perfect.”

Zac Brown Band’s frontman announced his engagement to jewelry designer Kendra Scott over the summer, months after the couple made their red carpet debut at the 2025 American Music Awards. Zac Brown later shared of the proposal in an interview with Fox News: “I had to figure out a way to do it. So, we were actually on a river. And on a barge with 30 elephants on the bank and the sun setting and birds flying over and hippos in the water. And I got it good.”

Morgan Wallen’s sister, Ashlyne Wallen, announced her engagement over the summer. She shared that she said “YES to forever,” as she posted the stunning engagement photos on Instagram with fiancé Skylor Morton, tagging photographer Stephanie Berenson. Ashlyne has since announced that she’s pregnant with Baby No. 2. The baby will join big sister Leighton Sky, who arrived in July 2024.

Reba McEntire and Rex Linn got engaged nearly a year ago, on Christmas Eve in 2024; however, they publicly confirmed their engagement on the red carpet at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2025. They’ve been dating since 2020. McEntire said during a recent appearance on TODAY that “a Reba-Rex wedding is going to be very different. It’s gonna be low key, lots of fun, lots of people, lots of food. Our big motto is ‘have fun.’”

Darius Rucker announced in October that he and fiancée Emily Deahl are engaged. The singer-songwriter posted a photo by photographer Travis Dew, and wrote in his Instagram caption: “Thank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known. The day I met you I knew I didn’t want to go another one without you. Now I don’t have to.” Rucker later said during an appearance on the TODAY show that Emily and I, we’ve been together for a couple years. ...We don’t really have any [wedding] plans. We’re not going to plan. We’re just going to get married and have a big party somewhere.”
