Does the long, cold winter have you longing for a sunny, sandy getaway? A tropical trip sounds pretty good right now and some lucky folks may be getting one, as spring break is inching closer. While many of us will be staying home and working, plenty of people will be packing a bag with swimsuits and sunscreen and a new report looks at where travelers are most interested in going.
- Upgraded Points has just come out with their list of the top-searched spring break hot spots for 2026.
- They analyzed Google Trends searches over the last year for spring break-related keywords to find the resorts and destinations people are most interested in visiting.
- Key West tops the list for U.S. locations, the island city in south Florida is number one for search interest in 17 states and Washington, D.C.
- Another Florida beach town, Destin, comes in a close second with the highest search interest in 15 states.
- Cancun, Mexico, is the top-searched international spring break destination, followed by Greece and Belize.
- Resorts in the Cancun and Los Cabos areas in Mexico had the most searches for international resorts, followed by those in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic.
- As for resorts here in the U.S., those in Florida saw the most searches and the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina in Fort Myers Beach was number one.
